                If you are looking for quiet and peace in lubuskie and you would like to spent some time in the traditional countryside, this place is the best for you. A small village placed near Łagów will take you back to the old times and you will be able to feel like a farmer from 20^th century.

There are a lot of attractions provided in the place. One of them is canoeing, which is very good for people who like sports and want to spend their time in an active way.  There are two rivers to choose, both of them have beautiful landscapes and are about fifty-five kilometers long and are Odra’s tributaries. While canoeing you can see a variety of plants on the banks and under the water. This is the best choice if you want to be active and relax at the same time. On the other hand, if you prefer staying on land, you can try horse-riding on the Ranch. It does not matter if you are a professional or if you have not tried it before. There is a special stuff, which will help you improve your skills or teach you how to do it.

However, there are many activities for those who are not keen on sports too. There are special Western shows organized, which will take you to the old United States. Paweł Apolitański created his group in 2002 and since then they have been training to become special kind of cowboys. This group of stunts will take you on a trip, during which you will see fights and many other interesting scenes.

All of the rooms are designed in the old fashion style, however, the most original and special places, where you can sleep are the houses made of hay. Sleeping on hay was only seen in the movies so far, but now you can experience it by yourself. Houses are small and cozy.

The Castle of the Knights of St. John

The biggest and the most recognizable building in Łagów. It was built by the Knights of Saint John in the second half of the XIVth century. It is made of rocks and bricks and is placed on a small hill, which makes it even easier to notice. The castle consists of a tower, residential buildings and defensive wall, made of different materials and in various techniques. The tower is about 40 meters high and it is located above the whole village. It is open for tourists, who can see the beautiful landscapes from the top. At the beginning of the XVIIIth century the castle was rebuilt in baroque style and only the tower and the hall on the first storey were left untouched. The hall is now a café. The Knights of Saint John ruled the castle for nearly 400 years and then it was taken by the House of Brandenburg. Now it serves as a hotel and tourist attraction.

The Łagowskie and Trześniowskie Lakes.

                There are two lakes in Łagów, which are almost untouched by people. The whole surface of Trześniowskie Lake belongs to the region of the landscape park and nature reserve. The lakes are mostly surrounded by the forest, which creates perfect opportunity for a walk. However, there are plenty ways to spend our time in Łagów. The most popular is renting a pedal boat. You can spend the whole day on it, sunbathing or even swimming in the lake.
